Once your seat is in, use wood filler, i like elmers wood fill, and fill in all those holes and cracks. Unfortunately i totally forgot to get a photo of that, but i primed first with gail's diy chalk paint recipe and it worked great! Then strip and sand off any paint if painted. Looking for something functional and fabulous.
